
The story of the Vietnam War movement in the United States: how it refuted Washington's rationales for the war and mobilized opposition to it; the political fight for a course that could organize in action the maximum number of working people, Gls, and youth and help lead the growing international opposition; and how the antiwar movement, gaining momentum from the fight for Black civil rights, helped force the U.S. government to bring the troops home, thus spurring struggles for social justice and changing the political face of the United States.
