The Ghetto Fights is a remarkable memoir by Marek Edelman, a member of the Warsaw Ghetto Resistance five-person command team. It tells first-hand of the struggle of Warsaw’s Jews against the Nazis in the spring of 1943.
Edelman’s account is complemented in this edition with Janey Stone’s essay “Don’t say there’s only death for you”, which provides an overview of the widespread resistance of Jewish people against Nazism across Europe in the 1930s and 1940s.
