First published in 1980, this collection has many document ps that had not been translated into English at the time, and many others had not been published since the 1920’s. This is the complete set of documents actually approved by the Lenin era of the Third International: the period when debate within it was still possible if not always welcome – before being snuffed out by the “monotheism” of the Stalin period. They help us to understand the Commintern, its relations with the Soviet Government, the checks to its growth and the main questions it tried to solve.
This will be useful for those who want to read at first hand the theses of a movement which has had and still has major implications for today’s social and political life.
